Botox Southern Colorado – Pueblo

Tired of looking tired? Tired of people asking you if are angry?

With real, noticeable results, no surgery and no recovery time, there are many reasons why BOTOX® Cosmetic has been chosen by millions of women and their doctors to improve the look of the moderate-to-severe frown lines between your brows.

This proven and safe method of smoothing out frown lines and crow’s feet is carried out in our office by Dr. Shinn and her trained nurses and aesthetician. Treatments are quick and easy with very little discomfort.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is administered as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles between the brows. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form between the brows.

Although the results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you’ve “had work done.” The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is temporarily reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

We encourage you to become a member of the Brilliant Distinctions Program (click here to be linked) on the Botox Cosmetic website to receive special rebates which can be used at Adonis Cosmetic Surgery & Spa.

Botox for Migraine Headaches

Migraine headaches affect approximately 28 million. Dr. Rina Shinn of Adonis Aesthetics has helped migraine sufferers experience excellent pain relief with Botox injections.

Botox paralyzes the forehead and (sometimes neck) muscles that seem to be responsible for migraine headaches. Additionally, there is also the theory that Botox interferes with the transmission of nerve pain signals.

Patients are injected at various sites – the brow, eyes, forehead, side of neck and back of the head near the neck. Treatments last about 4 to 6 months.

The FDA recently approved Botox for the treatment of migraines.

Patients who receive Botox for migraine relief have:

  • significantly fewer migraine attacks per month
  • reduced severity of migraine attacks
  • fewer days using abortive/rescue medications
  • fewer episodes of vomiting

Dr. Shinn was also interviewed on KOAA about Botox for Migraines. You’ll meet Dustin Pratt who suffered from pounding headaches for 15 years.  He had great success with Botox for his migraines. Click here.
