My mind is right with now that my hormones are balanced, which makes it easier to do the exercise part and take responsibility for my actions.

I started running over the summer which really kick started my weight loss. I run 1.8 miles 3-4 times a week. 

As far as eating habits I make sure I drink my water….I don’t order soda or tea at meals nor do I buy it.

 I make choices of salads and such as opposed to burgers and fatty items, after all it is my choice :) .

I always use a small plate. If big plates are pulled, I put mine away and pull a small plate.

I don’t have to reward myself with food.  I reward in other ways, even if it’s buying new underwear. :)

I’ve learned that everyone has something about them they don’t like and want to fix. Nobody is perfect.

Grandmother’s death encourages patient to lose weight; Loses 30 pounds with the Adonis Diet

I chose the Adonis weight loss program after my grandmother passed from a heart attack. It woke me up to the fact that it could happen to me as well. 

She and the staff at Adonis have been a constant motivation to succeed.  I have lost 30 pounds over the year and have completely transformed my lifestyle.  In doing so, I have learned new hobbies including running and cooking homemade meals.  These hobbies have helped me make new friends and find a more fulfilling life for myself and my future.

“It is always heart-warming to have such an appreciating patient.

 

Dr. Shinn has a patient who drives down from Colorado Springs often.  She always brings goodies for us, and today it was all fresh fruits, since she knows we tend to not eat cookies and cakes.

 

We always tell her that we are thankful for her gifts and her kindness, but she shouldn’t do that so often; but she told us that it was a very small token of her appreciation.  

 

She had multiple cosmetic surgeries in Denver but had bad scars that wouldn’t go away for a long time.  They are all improving greatly with our care regime here.

Mommy Makeover Winner Says Surgery Was Life Changing

In 2010 we hosted a Mommy Makeover Contest and winner Rikki Frazier won a complimentary tummy tuck and breast augmentation.

As a result of having two cesarean sections Rikki not only had a scar, but a disfigurement.

The excess skin above the c-section scar folds over creating what Rikki affectionately refers to as “The Flap.”
